Isuzu Trucks – For Greater Capacity and High Quality Cargo Trucks

Isuzu is a popular manufacturer of heavy trucks and other commercial vehicles. By 2005, Isuzu trucks managed to top the list as the largest manufactures of trucks in the medium and heavy duty categories. They have three manufacturing and assembling plants in Japan, located in Fujisawa, Tochigi and Hokkaido, of which the first two were affected in the recent earthquake and tsunami which struck Japan.

The Isuzu FVR is the perfect truck for those who business operations involve moving or delivering cargo. They are designed to provide greater payload capacities while still being light weight and easy to handle. Like most Isuzu trucks, these trucks are too powered by diesel engines.

The Isuzu FVR is powered by diesel 7.8 liter Isuzu engine which delivers 230 horsepower when paired with the automatic transmission. For better and safer delivery of goods, this truck is supplied with a spring type suspension. The cargo body of this truck measures 28 feet in length, with the width being 102 inches and the height of the interior being 103 inches.

The Isuzu FVR has a wheel base of 254 inches, which makes the truck cab quite roomy, and at the same giving it more space to store cargo. The tires of these Isuzu trucks measure 22.5, while the wheels are composed of all steel. This truck has a single rear axle. The Isuzu NPR EFI is another popular delivery truck. Like the FVR, this truck is also available in an extended cab configuration. The main difference between, the NPR EFI and the FVR is that the former truck is a powered by a GMC V8 gasoline engine, compared to the latter’s diesel engine. The gas engine paired with an automatic transmission, delivers 325 horsepower, which greatly ups its payload capacity.

However, the wheel base of the Isuzu NPR EFI is 176 inches lesser than the FVR, with tires measuring 19.5. This truck however has tandem rear axles, and the weight of the front axles measure 6,830 pounds. The landscape enclosed cargo body of the 2009 Isuzu NPR EFI truck is 16 feet in length.
