FWD Trucks: First to be with 4WD

FWD Trucks is not a generic term for a 4WD truck, it was a company that was founded in 1909 and was called Four Wheel Drive Auto Company, popularly known as Four Wheel Drive. Zachow and Besserdich are two personalities responsible for the formation of the FWD trucks. Both of them in 1908 built the first four wheel drive car and named the car a Battleship. The first 4x4 model received a lot of praises and more to that was shown interest by lots of customers; in 1910 the Badger was removed from the company name to be called as FWD Corporation. Company also produced a 4WD truck for military purpose, these FWD Trucks became so successful that the company decided to produce only trucks from cars.
